Audit Committee
Coordinates the annual chapter audit of financial records. Responsible
for auditing or finding someone to complete the audit of chapter
financial records as of June 30th and submit an audit report to
the Board of Directors by October of the same year.
Elections Committee
The committee contacts potential board members and officers for
inclusion on the annual ballot to be complete prior to publishing
the May newsletter. Records votes cast by mail, fax, e-mail, and
in person at the May meeting. Develops a list of newly elected officers
and board members for inclusion in the next newsletter.
Advertisement Coordinator
Prepares seminar and conference brochures, special meeting flyers,
and produces monthly CPE certificates for meeting attendees.
Meeting Arrangements Committee
Negotiates contracts with hotels and restaurants for facilities
to hold monthly meetings, seminars, and conferences.
Seminar Committee
Develops topic, speaker, and dates for seminar and obtain bids
from educational vendors. Reviews contracts from successful bidder
and submits to the Board for approval. Provides the Advertisement
Coordinator with the biographical and course outline to produce
a brochure. Works with the speaker to obtain proper classroom and
audio visual requirements. Arrange for the reproduction of seminar
material.
Annual Conference Committee
Develops topics, speakers, and dates for a multi-track conference
and obtain bids from educational vendors. Reviews contracts from
successful bidder and submits to the Board for approval. Provides
the Advertisement Coordinator with the biographical data and course
descriptions necessary to produce a brochure. Works with the speaker
to obtain proper classroom and audio visual requirements. Arrange
for the reproduction of seminar material
Awards Committee
Secures suitable and appropriate awards for recognition of significant
member achievements and outstanding services. Gifts purchased include
CISA Plaques, speaker gifts, new member name tags, monthly meeting
door prizes, and other gifts as directed.
Attendance Committee
Encourages regular meeting attendance and coordinates reservations.
Maintains a spreadsheet to track meeting dates, attendees, speakers,
topics, location, and CPE credits awarded, and event type. Provides
an attendance list to the Advertising Committee after each meeting.
Responsible for registering the chapter with the Illinois Dept.
of Professional Regulation as a sponsor of CPA continuing education
and registering with the National Association of State Board of

Advanced Communications Committee
Develops methods for providing members with information via Internet
relate and other means. Primarily, developing a chapter WWW home
page, sending a text only version of the newsletter via e-mail and
other forms as may be necessary.
Academic Relations Committee
Develop and promote better understanding of the philosophy and
practice of Information Systems Auditing among students and educators.
Develop a program for administering a scholarship program and internships.
CISA Coordinator
Promote the Certified Information Systems Auditor program, coordinate
a local exam site, either conduct or find someone to conduct a CISA
review course.
Newsletter Editor
Assemble and publish a monthly newsletter to members by obtaining
useful and informative material related to member needs. Article
cutoff date is the 1st of each month and mailing date is at least
1 week prior to the meeting.
Mailing Labels
Maintains chapter newsletter mail labels.
Membership Committee
Retain and recruit members in the Illini Chapter. Sends a welcome
letter to new members. Contacts the mailing label coordinator with
name and addresses on new members. Develops the annual membership
survey and summarizes results in a report to the Board. Sends letters
to potential new members based on survey results etc. Sends letter
to local CPA and other firms which may have potential recruits.
Ensures membership applications are available at ISACA, IIA, ISSA,
or DPMA type meetings. Maintains the membership database which is
sent from International headquarters.
Chapter Directory Committee
Publish the 1996-1997 chapter directory based on membership as
of September 30. Directory should be mailed no later than December
15 of that year.
Chapter Historian
Maintains chapter records such as prior newsletters, seminar brochures,
financial records over 2 years old, bylaws, chapter charter, etc.
